The mysterious peckory lives in remote peckoryland where the peckorys co-exist in a love/hate relationship with the evil chickens.
Peckorys are highly intelligent, naturally curious creatures who are formed into a co-operative from which temporary leaders can be randomly chosen.
Peckorys can also de-evolve into an unstable state called "chucky" which is highly volatile and liable to exploding or acts of extreme silliness. Once a peckory has "gone chucky" it is unlikely to recover back to full peckory, although it has been known to happen.
Evil chickens are in the middle of an uneasy truce with the peckorys, but use the peaceful state as an excuse to spy on peckorys and steal their technology. You rarely see a chicken without his trusty camera, which is used for "holiday snaps".
